Middlesbrough fans have taken to Twitter to react after their former manager, Aitor Karanka, was relieved of his duties at yet another club, leaving his post at Nottingham Forest after talk of a rift between himself and the board – as reported by the BBC.
Karanka was sacked by Boro back in 2017 with his side sat in the Premier League relegation zone, three points from safety with 11 games remaining.
The Spaniard reportedly had rifts with the likes of Stewart Downing and Patrick Bamford, and fell out with the board on multiple occasions.

However, he did in fact leave the Riverside with his reputation intact as far as the club’s fans are concerned, and some of the Championship side’s supporters would happily have him back in place of current boss Tony Pulis.
Middlesbrough sit in 5th place in the league and have a good chance of promotion back to the Premier League, but that hasn’t stop the Karanka love-in…
