Everton boss Sam Allardyce revealed at his press conference on Monday that Seamus Coleman would be in the squad for Wednesday’s Premier League clash with Leicester City.
Coleman has not played for Everton’s first team since March 2017 after suffering a double leg break whilst representing Republic of Ireland against Wales.
The right-back played 58 minutes for Everton’s Under-23 team against Portsmouth last week, however, and has now been cleared to return to first-team action.
It is a huge boost for an Everton side that are without a win in their last seven matches in all competitions.
Indeed, the Toffees have lost three of their last four in the Premier League, and the supporters will be expecting a response against Leicester this week.
On form, there are not many better full-backs in the Premier League than Coleman, and the Everton fans are delighted that the 29-year-old is fit to return to action at such a key stage of the season.
