Arsenal missed an opportunity to truly punish dropped points from Manchester United and Chelsea this weekend, failing to beat Southampton away from home in the English Premier League.
The 1-1 draw could have easily been a defeat after a dreadful start handed Saints the upper hand, with Charlie Austin netting within 3 minutes and having the chances to score more in the first half.
Southampton goalkeeper Fraser Forster had little to do for most of the 90 minutes, but Arsenal were saved when substitute Olivier Giroud headed home in the final moments of the match.
The Frenchman hasn’t started a single Premier League match all season but has still managed to net four times, also scoring three in the UEFA Europa League.
Now fans are calling him on him to start matches, starting with this Wednesday’s match away to West Ham United.
Should the striker be starting more and can he forge a partnership with Alexander Lacazette?
