Al-Hilal have continued their interest in Milan left back Hernandez as they seek to agree personal terms with the player, according to . Intermediary Federico Pastorello was in Casa Milan to meet Milan director Igli Tare to push for the transfer.

Milan had accepted Al-Hilal’s bid of €30 million (£25m/$34m) for Hernandez but failed to agree terms with the player despite the whopping €18m (£15m/$20m) salary offered to the player. Hernandez in turn had agreed terms with Spanish club Atletico but their offer of €15m (£13m/$17m) plus bonuses was deemed insufficient by Milan. Atletico have since moved on to other targets such as Andy Robertson and Lucas Digne. With growing reports than Milan are interested in Tottenham’s Destiny Udogie, it has been made clear to the France international and his entourage that they are planning to move on without him next season.

In January, Milan reportedly accepted a bid for the 27-year-old from fellow Serie A club Como as manager Cesc Fabregas was interested in the services of the Frenchman. However, Hernandez turned down the bid as he wanted to assess his options on the table and wait for top clubs in Europe to make a move.

The ex-Real Madrid player will hope to stay in Europe as he would like to play in the top leagues to keep his place in the French national team with the World Cup coming in less than a year. Al-Hilal will hope that with newly-appointed manager Simone Inzaghi, they might finally be able to convince Hernandez to join the club.
