As reported by The Daily Record, Connor Goldson is set to arrive in Glasgow early this week to seal his move to Rangers, after the Ibrox side reached agreement with Brighton & Hove Albion.
What’s the story?
Rangers have been on the hunt for Goldson for nearly a month now, having previously been reported to have had bids for the defender rejected.
Now though it seems they are ready to seal the deal.
The Record report that he is due in Glasgow early this week to complete a medical, with the Light Blues ready to rubber stamp a deal worth £3m after reaching agreement with the Seagulls.
It will be Rangers’ fifth signing since announcing Steven Gerrard as manager, with Allan McGregor, Scott Arfield, Jamie Murphy and Ovie Ejaria all arriving at Ibrox.

Why the rush to do business?
Most teams are still just contemplating making their summer moves, but Rangers have lots of work to do and early matches to play.
The UEFA Europa League qualifiers begin for the Light Blues early next month and everyone knows they are vital to the progression of the club under Gerrard, both financially and from a footballing point of view.
Bringing in players ahead of their return to pre-season training will give Gerrard as much time as possible to work with the group he is hoping can take them through the early rounds of qualifying and gain a bit of momentum ahead of the domestic season.
Rangers have made positive moves in recent months and supporters are now desperate to see how it all pans out on the pitch come the first competitive match.
