With Mesut Ozil still out of the Arsenal side, supporters are completely divided on what the best course of action is for the former Germany international.
Ozil, 30, has found himself ostracised by manager Unai Emery with the likes of Matteo Guendouzi, Granit Xhaka and Dani Ceballos picked over him regularly for the Gunners. The German signed for the Gunners back in 2013 for £42.4m and has only started two Premier League games this season.
Arsenal’s 1-1 draw against Manchester United saw Emery start three defensive-minded players instead of Ozil.
Ozil previously set the record for the quickest player in Premier League history to reach 50 assists. He achieved this remarkable figure in just 141 appearances, only to be toppled by Manchester City’s Kevin de Bruyne.
Gunners’ fans are completely divided on their views about the German. One fan described him as a “liability” while another feels that Ozil doesn’t deserve to be treated this way by the manager.
