Stanisic was asked if he still had Wirtz's phone number. The Croatian defender enjoyed a loan spell at Leverkusen during their title winning exploits in 2023-24, and he confirmed he's still in touch with his former team-mate.

Stanisic said: "I do have his number. I didn't call him, but of course I hope I'll be able to play with such a player again. All of Germany can consider itself lucky to have such a player.
"He's simply an incredible player and wants to win every game. Of course, that's the type of player we want to have at Bayern."
