Kyle Walker did not receive the warmest of farewells from the fans when he left Tottenham Hotspur to join Manchester City last summer.
After spending eight years at the North London outfit, the right-back decided to open a new chapter by moving to the Etihad Stadium.
In just his first season, the 27-year-old has taken home the Premier League title, which was won by Pep Guardiola’s side at the weekend due to an unassailable 16-point lead.
Walker’s former club also have an opportunity to clinch silverware as they are preparing to take on Manchester United in the semi-finals of the FA Cup.

If Mauricio Pochettino’s men get through, they will face either Chelsea or Southampton in the showpiece at Wembley next month.
Tottenham have not won silverware since their League Cup triumph in the 2007-08 campaign, and many have questioned the club’s ability to compete with the successful clubs in England due to their spacious trophy cabinet.
In quotes published by The Telegraph, Walker revealed that he hopes to see Spurs lift the FA Cup.
“They’ve got Manchester United in the semi-finals of the FA Cup, which is a big trophy for them. So, please God, they go and win it because their lads deserve it. Every single one of them works hard every day. Not just the lads but the coaching staff as well. For them to do that when it was a season when they were getting a lot of ifs and buts about Wembley would be very good for them.”
Some Tottenham supporters appreciated the sentiment, while others were having none of it.
